Hi, i got my Ring2 unit and installed app on the iPhone. App showed there is a firmware update available. During update process the bar went to the very end and then app closed by itself.

Now the unit does not respond to any clicks and does not charge... I think it got bricked

UPDATE: it came back to life, i tried an upgrade from Android phone (Samsung) and it failed, claiming file was corrupted.

Please let us know the iOS version on the Apple iPhone, the Android version on the Samsung phone, and also which version of the Ctrl4u app is installed on the Samsung device.
Thanks.

Hi
Iphone is running version 1.6 of the app (i think, because UI is very bad for dark mode and i do not see text in field below Help Information field, there is just value 1.6). iOS is 26.5

For Android, i cannot check, because i already repurposed the phone - i was using a freshy reset device, because i do not trust sideloaded applications from unknown sources, and your app is not in Play Store (this is one of main reasons i tried iPhone first - app is in AppStore). Phone was on OneUI8.5 and app was downloaded from your side day before i posted my post, so you would need to check which version was available at that time..

Also, in your kickstarter campain comments, there is one person who claims his device stopped responding completely after the upgrade attempt - his post is there for a week now with NO response from your side...

Hi, sorry for troubles, we were trying to reproduce this issue in the past week, and we can see that problem here. We will have a new APK release next week, hopefully you will see it in Apple APP Store in 2 weeks.

Can you please update here when once that version is released and what version number it is, so I can verify before next update attempt

The release of the new app version has been delayed due to challenges with Google's review process. We are in active communication with Google to address the issue. Meanwhile, the iOS version is currently undergoing testing.

The 1.8 app has been published on both Google Play and the Apple App Store.
