I just got the Ring 2 a couple of days ago. I charged it over the last day and am trying it out for the first time. I paired it with my Samsung S26 Ultra but couldn't get the function to work, as expected. I installed the Ctrl4U app and updated firmware to v42. When I went back in the app it stated that there is a newer version v43? (at least for the camera control portion). It started the update and hung during the update. Now the ring won't work at all - no lights on the ring no matter what action I take - press the tactile button rapidly as well as holding it down for a long time. Nothing at all. No lights and the app doesn't show the ring as connected to it. I tried putting on the charger but still no luck. Is there a hard reset/reboot? What are next steps?

Sorry for troubles!  Ring 2 has no FW42 and FW 43, only Ring Control has Firmware 42, but no Firmware 43. can you please share your Ring 2 information on Phone APP?

Since the ring is offline/dead, the only thing I can get from the app is what looks like the serial number - CC:B8:F1:6D:58:77

On-Ctrl released its new smart phone APP V1.8 last week. The new APP can fix the problem where Ring was bricked by old APP during Ring firmware update.

Please see below instructions on how to use APP V1.8 to revive the Ring.
